The Boardroom Table is a first-of-its-kind service that sets a new benchmark for good governance in New Zealand's publicly listed boardrooms.
With data from over 200 sources, including financial metrics, media perception, and customer and employee sentiment, The Boardroom Table measures the relative impact a director has made to their company during their tenure.
With this clear visualisation, you now have access to boardroom insights that enable higher standards of governance across New Zealand companies. Sign up below to access The Boardroom Table website, you’ll receive a monthly email signalling when updates are released.
We use over 200 data sources to assess financial metrics like revenue, market capitalisation, EBITDA, shareholder returns, and cash flow - alongside sentiment analysis from markets, analysts, media, employees, and customers.
Using these company metrics, we use a complex model to measure a director's performance across their tenure and predict the company's future performance. With adequate "warming up" and "cooling off" periods for a year either side of their tenure, we are able to align the company's metrics to the director's role, month-over-month.
The Boardroom Table highlights directors who use their leadership position to positively impact financial performance and sentiment for their companies - when these metrics improve, as does their position.
Accountability and strategic leadership are at the core of effective governance. The Boardroom Table is designed to raise the bar for good governance and establish a new benchmark for boardroom excellence.
At Datamine, we're committed to empowering leading New Zealand and Australian businesses through the implementation of advanced data, analytics, and AI solutions. The time for cruise-control is over, The Boardroom Table recognises and celebrates innovators who set their own standards and achieve breakthrough success by leveraging data-driven insights.

The Boardroom Table measures the impact of professional directors.
By including directors who hold more than one directorship, stakeholders can easily compare the contribution a director has made to each company.
The start date of each director acts as their benchmark, Datamine then tracks company performance throughout each directorship tenure to measure their impact.

The Boardroom Table is designed to celebrate directors' relative impact rather than absolute performance changes.
For example, a $500m capital value increase to $600m (20% increase) is a greater relative increase than a $5b capital value increase to $5.1b (2%), even though the absolute increase is the same.
We allow for adequate "warm up" and "cool off" periods for a year either side of a director's tenure.
If a director joined a company a day before it announced a drop in profits, this would only have a very small attribution to the director's impact. Similarly, if someone left a company the day before it announced great financial results, this would be linked to their performance.
The Boardroom Table is an indicator of success and good governance. When directors improve metrics like financial results or media reputation across their companies, their positions rise accordingly.
The Boardroom Table celebrates leaders who drive great governance, but it also highlights opportunities for growth and innovation.
Through effective use of data, analytics, AI and strategic oversight, companies that partner with Datamine experience growth and higher ROI.
