A new Datamart Dataminer

Datamine is pleased to announce the recruitment of Scott Walkinshaw, the newest datamart developer at its Auckland Head Office.

With a Bachelor of Science in Business Computing and a wide range of experience with international corporates (many of whom are Datamine clients),

Scott brings a very valid and valuable skill set to Datamine’s technical team.
“Scott is a senior datamart developer with extensive experience creating Business Intelligence solutions in a variety of companies, both here and in the UK. He will be an incredible asset to Datamine’s delivery of datamarts and BI projects,” says Cliff Ashford, the head of Datamine’s technical team.

Originally from Scotland, Scott spent 10 years working in large corporates in London, including Vodafone, Thames Water and the Institute of Directors, before establishing himself in New Zealand, where he has resided for the last 7 years.

“Over the years, I've grown to appreciate the strong Kiwi work ethic that is demonstrated while maintaining a sense of fun in the workplace,” says Scott. “That’s certainly the case from what I’ve seen so far at Datamine, too!”

Although currently commuting from the Waikato, Scott is planning to relocate to Auckland shortly. In the meantime though, Dataminers will continue with well-meaning ‘Hamilton taunts’.
